Meet the Founder
Pieter Verstraete is the managing director of One-stop China and takes the lead on the company’s interim management and consulting projects. Pieter holds a Bachelor and Master degree in Chinese culture and linguistics ( Ghent University, Belgium), a Master in Business Administration ( Webster University, US) and participated in career advancement programs in venture capital ( Vlerick University, Belgium) and strategic management (Harvard University, US).
He has adopted China as his second homeland and knows all the ins and outs of its business culture. Pieter speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and bridges the best of both worlds. He has worked with several Asian investment funds looking strategic opportunities in the West as well European companies expanding their business to China.
Pieter published his experiences and advice on business dealings with Chinese companies in his book "Forging Smart Deals with China: How to Benefit from China’s Increased Presence in Europe" ( Dutch version: Winnen met de Chinezen, Uitgeverij Pelckmans, 2019). He is a columnist for the Belgian business and economics magazine "Trends" and writes columns and opinion pieces on business in China on a monthly basis. Besides his consulting work, Pieter also invest as a business angel in promising start-ups and scale-ups."
